Chris Merritt, Principal
Our principal, Chris Merritt, has a Bachelor of Science, History with Minors in Mathematics, Geography and Secondary Education, a Master of Science, Education from the University of Tennessee and Education Specialist, Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Mr. Merritt has worked with Blount County Schools as a teacher and in Administration since 2001.
Mr. Merritt said he is excited to be a part of the Fairview team and looks forward to working with the students, teachers and parents of Fairview Elementary daily. He has returned to Fairview, the school he attended when it was a K-8 school. Once an Angel, always an Angel! Wings-Up!!!
Jennifer Moore, Assistant Principal
Ms. Moore has served in Blount County Schools since 1998 after serving in other Tennessee districts for twelve years. She earned undergraduate and master's degrees in English and Secondary Education from Middle Tennessee State University and an Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. After coming to Blount County, she worked as a teacher and assistant principal at William Blount High School, and as an instructional supervisor.
