Chris Merritt, Principal
Fairview welcomes Chris Merritt as its new Principal. He holds a Bachelor of Science, History with Minors in Mathematics, Geography and Secondary Education, a Master of Science, Education from The University of Tennessee and Education Specialist, Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Mr. Merritt has worked with Blount County as a teacher and in Administration since 2001.
Mr. Merritt is married to Edwina Merritt and they have three amazing children, Blakely, Findley and Dave. Blakely and Findley attend Fairview and Dave will follow along soon.
Mr. Merritt said he was excited to be joining the Fairview team as Principal and is looking forward to working with the students, teachers and parents of Fairview Elementary. He is actually returning to Fairview, the school he attended when it was a K-8 school. Once an Angel, always an Angel! Wings-Up!!!
